Cara Perellis
Project Manager

Cara joined the Case Foundation as Project Manager and is an integral part of the Interactive Strategies Team. Cara helps to ensure that all the trains are running on time and within budget, working across multiple teams, and with external partners, developers, and designers to co-develop strategy, plans, and manage projects. Prior to joining the Case team, Cara served as an Account Executive at Ogilvy Public Relations, and worked on award-winning social marketing campaigns focused on behavior change communications to address public health and social issues.

Originally from the Windy City of Chicago, with one parent from the Bronx and the other from Kentucky, her accent falls somewhere in the middle. Cara holds a BA from The George Washington University, and considers DC home sweet home. Living in DC has helped grow Cara’s passions for working with issues and causes that positively contribute to and affect the general public.

When she’s not working, you can find Cara exploring different neighborhoods in DC, taking in the historical sights, or checking out new restaurants with friends. However, as a Larry David enthusiast, she is most likely watching episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm while searching for the new hot meme, blog, tumblr, or gif to share with friends to make them laugh.

Be Fearless Principle: Let Urgency Conquer Fear

"A mantra I always try and remember and emulate: don’t overthink and overanalyze. Just do. Sometimes we can get too wrapped up in thinking about the unknown or what will happen, instead of trying to make things happen. I try to adopt this principle in my work and personal life."
