With social media campaigns, the usual methods of getting a message across would be through Facebook and Twitter, and if it was for a mobile audience, a specialised app would be created. But Amnesty International, who have to their credit launched some involving and clever campaigns, have teamed up with music identification app Shazam to launch a brilliant campaign called “The Sound of Amnesty”.

The campaign was designed to highlight the unheard voices of those suffering injustice around the world. The first part began like any other campaign, signing up to the campaign would release the next note in a song also entitled “The Sound of Amnesty”, but it was the integration with Shazam that made this campaign particularly memorable.
