The Case Foundation was a proud sponsor of an Aspen Institute Book Talk this week on the Power of Social Innovation.
The talk, which was moderated by Aspen CEO Walter Isaacson, featured Stephen Goldsmith (former mayor of Indianapolis, Corporation for National and Community Service Chair and Kennedy School professor/program director) and Sonal Shah (Director of the White House Office on Social Innovation). Our Chairman, Steve Case and I were delighted to be in the room and part of the dynamic conversation.
Mayor Goldsmith’s new book, The Power of Social Innovation: How Civic Entrepreneurs Ignite Community Networks for Good, provided the framework for the panel and conversation with the standing room only crowd of leading innovators and practitioners.
Discussion flowed from the specifics of participating in the social innovation fund to capital streams for social entrepreneurs and innovators to balancing known and proven innovations with emerging ideas that have great potential. You can see video from the event here or buy the book here.
