Over the weekend, Barron's published the 2010 edition of its "25 Best Givers" list, which is developed in conjunction with Global Philanthropy Group and aims to identify philanthropists who are having the most impact. We're proud that our fantastic CEO and Chairman were named to that list based on their work through the Case Foundation.

Here's what Barron's had to say about Jean Case & Steve Case's selection to the list:

The Cases have found they often can have the greatest impact by sharing the skills acquired while founding and building tech giant AOL. Says Jean: "I could give a group a check, but if I sit with a team and helped them with their business plan or refine their fundraising or provided them with technology tools or even access to a PR person, well the value of that is greater than any check we could write."

TWEET THAT!:The couple is helping nonprofits tap into social networks. This past April they teamed with Twitter and Malaria No More to fight the disease and have raised $36,000 so far.

Other notable names on the list included Bill & Melinda Gates, who were ranked first based in part on their work with the Giving Pledge, as well as other repeat names on the list: Pierre & Pam Omidyar, Jeff Skoll, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey and others.  Newcomers to the list included actor Ed Norton for his work in launching the Crowdrise platform, and two Chinese philanthropists.
