Jean Case, CEO of the Case Foundation, is currently joining Startup America Partnership board member Pamela Contag and Dell’s Entrepreneur in Residence Ingrid Vanderveldt in Nashville for a full day of programming focused on female entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurship. Below is a statement from Jean on Startup America Partnership’s one-year anniversary:

One year ago today, the Case Foundation joined with the Kauffman Foundation at the White House to launch the Startup America Partnership, a private sector led initiative designed to spark job growth by championing entrepreneurs and high growth businesses.

One year later, the Startup America Partnership has announced more than $1.2 billion in resources for startups and launched 18 regional affiliates. In honor of Startup America’s one year anniversary today, President Obama sent Congress the Startup America Legislative Agenda outlining a comprehensive pro-entrepreneurship policy strategy.

The Case Foundation proudly celebrates this anniversary because we know there is no amount of philanthropic or civic investment that can replace a robust economy and citizens hard at work. The efforts of the Startup America Partnership demonstrate the power of philanthropy and cross-sector partnerships that when combined harness the unique strengths of each contributor, to create innovative solutions and measurable results.

Join us in celebrating with Startup America and find anniversary events in your region.
