Vivanista is on a mission to make fundraising easy

What’s a Vivanista exactly? It sounds like a woman’s name, but it’s actually an anagram for the different characteristics that represent this organization that supports causes through fundraising and event best practices. Whether you are a nonprofit professional, volunteer, board member, student, or individual looking to raise awareness and funds for a cause, Vivanista has made it their mission to make fundraising easy for you. Their Parties for a Purpose toolkits, Events411 guides, and plethora of resources on everything from giving to social media are all geared toward lightening the heavy load of fundraising, and making it fun in the process. On November 11-12 in San Francisco, Vivanista is bringing all of the expertise, latest trends, and upcoming opportunities  together live for their annual Fundraising Summit, highlighting topics such as youth fundraisers (ever heard of Philanthro-teens?), corporate sponsorships, crowd-sourcing, auctions and more. Speakers include Adriana Gasciogne, CEO and founder of Girls in Tech; Susan Gordon, Director of Nonprofit Services at Causes.com; Darian Rodriguez Heyman, formerly of Craigslist Foundation and founder of Social Media for Nonprofits; Lesley Mansford, CEO of Razoo; and more (see the full speaker lineup here.) The event kicks off the evening of Friday, November 11, with a StarBar reception, speed mentoring session, and the presentation of the VivaBrite awards honoring achievements in fundraising for nonprofits and individuals. Saturday’s sessions will be a mix of panels, trainings, and expert sessions.
