Thanks to this post from Mashable, I learned this morning about a really interesting program being run by USAID (with involvement from other federal agencies), called Global Pulse 2010.
The online event, which began on Monday and goes through today, provides a forum for anyone who wants to get involved with "an opportunity to voice opinions, share ideas, and create innovative solutions to social issues facing the global community within the fields of science and technology, entrepreneurship, and human development." The online forum features "live jams" (akin to a music jam session) on various topics, led by recognized thought leaders and subject matter experts who will guide conversations by posting comments and replies in their assigned forums. They also have a presence on Twitter and you can follow some of the conversation on Twitter through #GP2010. Here's a sample of some of the recent tweets:

The discussion lasts through today, so if you're curious and want your voice to be heard as part of the conversation, I encourage you to head over to their site and check it out!
