Since 1997, the Case Foundation has been investing in people and ideas that can change the world. We believe it is better to focus our efforts on a handful of "big ideas" -- swing-for-the-fences ideas that have transformative potential. Learn more about big ideas we're currently supporting below.

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2)

  With its entrepreneurial venture philanthropy model, ABC2 seeks to increase the number of potential therapies discovered and then move them rapidly into the clinic for the benefit of patients.   

Buxton Initiative

The Buxton Initiative facilitates candid discussion among people of different faith traditions and life experiences to help build understanding, friendship, and trust.

Giving Challenge

The 2007-2008 Giving Challenge empowered people to use technology to improve their giving experience, support the causes they care about, and encourage others to give.

Make It Your Own Awards

By encouraging citizen-led dialog and action, as opposed to expert-driven agendas and campaigns, it is our belief that individuals can reengage, stay engaged, and form lasting solutions.

PlayPumps International

The world's water supply is in crisis. Water-related diseases are responsible for 80% of all sickness in the world. Outside of highly developed nations, access to clean water is a daily challenge for tens of millions of people. PlayPumps International aims to bring 4,000 "merry-go-round" style water pumps to villages across sub-Saharan Africa, eventually bringing clean, safe drinking water to 10 million people.

President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation

Central to the Council’s work is shining a spotlight on everyday heroes who are working to address some of the most pressing social challenges of our time. The Council does this by leveraging the cross-sector power of its members from the worlds of entertainment, sports, media, business, education, and nonprofits.

Social Citizens

New online and mobile platforms are empowering individuals to give where they are, how they want to, and more effectively than ever before. Through the Social Citizens initiative, we seek to highlight the impact these new approaches can have, with an emphasis on how the Millennial Generation is driving much of the change.

U.S.-Palestinian Partnership

Through a multi-sector approach that leverages individual and corporate giving of time, dollars, and skills, the U.S.-Palestinian Partnership is uniquely suited to help develop an economic and educational climate in the West Bank that can create a path towards regional peace and prosperity.
