The Millennial generation are everyday changemakers who use their tech savvy, entrepreneurial and independent-mindedness to change the way change is made.

The Case Foundation has been researching how the Millennial generation (born 1980 – 2000) gives to and engages with causes and social issues for ten years. It all began in 2008, with a five-year experiment designed to spark new forms of engagement between the social sector and this generation, called “Social Citizens.” Over ten years later, having surveyed over 150,000 Millennials, we’ve witnessed the growth of a cohort of young adults capable of using their immense influence to reshape the ways that philanthropic, corporate and government institutions function on a scale that has never been experienced.

Since 2009, Achieve, in partnership with the Case Foundation, has studied the millennial generation, their engagement with causes and their preferences for involvement and culture in the workplace. The reports have been downloaded more than 100,000 times and this research has been featured and referenced in hundreds of publications. The release of the final Millennial Impact Report is the culmination of this decade-long focus on millennials and their attitudes toward social change. After a decade of research and over 150,000 millennials surveyed, the Case Foundation and Achieve released the report “The Millennial Impact Report: 10 Years Looking Back” in July 2019 which pulls together the trends and key takeaways from these 10 years of research.
